The goal of HMGP is to break the cycle of disaster-rebuild-disaster by investing in projects that make communities safer and more resilient. Instead of just rebuilding after a disaster, HMGP focuses on building smarter to reduce future risk.
Funding and Cost Share for the Friendswood MDP:
- FEMA will pay up to 75% of the eligible project cost.
The remaining 25% will be provided by non-federal sources, by the City of Friendswood.
