The City of Friendswood is taking proactive steps to reduce flood risks, improve drainage infrastructure, and plan for a more resilient future. With funding support from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), administered through the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) , we are updating the City’s Master Drainage Plan to reflect current data, utilize modern modeling techniques, and address the specific drainage needs of our community.

This study will result in a list of prioritized flood risk reduction projects, actionable recommendations, and a centralized database to guide smart development and funding decisions.
